Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Balance Transfers

Promotional APR valid through your January 2011 billing cycle. Promotional rates will vary depending on primary applicant’s credit score (Platinum 3.99% and Classic 6.99% for credit scores 725 and above, Platinum 6.99% and Classic 9.99% for credit scores 675-724, Platinum standard rate and Classic standard rate for scores 674 and below).

After your January 2011 billing cycle, you will be charged the standard rate for your card at that time. Your standard APR may vary with changes to the Prime Rate. We calculate your APR by adding a margin to the Prime Rate. The margin will change semi-annually based on your credit score. Scores will be obtained in January (for April interest rate changes), and July (for October rate changes) by Equifax.

Process Balance Transfer By Date

You must process your balance transfer between February 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010 for the promotional APR to apply. If you request a balance transfer after that date, we may still honor the transaction but you will not receive the promotional APR. Instead, the standard APR for your card will apply.

Paying Interest

Finance charges will accrue on balance transfers from the transaction date until they are paid in full.

Limitations

Promotional rates valid only on approved credit. You must meet the minimum qualifications to receive a promotional rate. Credit limit must be minimum $2,500 to qualify for promotional rate. Promotional APR is valid for balance transfers only from other institutions. Transactions must be a minimum $200 to qualify. VISA checks negotiated at any HAPO CCU location will be considered cash advances and carry your card’s standard rate.

Payment Allocation

Payments will be applied first to any promotional rate balance before being applied to balances at the card’s standard rate. Beginning February 22, 2010, the minimum payment due will be applied to promotional rate balances with any excess being applied to the balance with the highest APR.
