Mechanical Breakdown Protection Is Now Available
Protect your car and your wallet! Don't worry about repairs when you have HAPO's Mechanical Breakdown Protection, just enjoy the ride.
Mechanical Breakdown (MBP) features include:
- 4 levels of protection to choose from; Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze.
- Two inexpensive deductible options; $50 deductible or Zero deductible
- Rental car service.
- Nationwide service - go to any licensed mechanic.
- Trip interruption.
- Tire protection.
- 24-hour roadside assistance.
- Transferable coverage.
- Price is determined by vehicle years and miles (prices may vary - the younger your vehicle, the less that protection will cost)
- MBP is an optional choice for HAPO members.
New and used coverage is available.
MBP can be purchased with cash. MBP can also be added to your existing loan balance. However, loan terms cannot be extended, so this will slightly increase your monthly payments.
New Cars
Cars are considered new if they are less than four years old and have less than 75,000 odometer miles. MBP can be purchased after the purchase date on new cars. A car must have 60,000 miles or less and is subject to a 30-day and 1,000 mile claim exclusion.
Used cars
Used cars are eligible for protection if purchased within last 10 days.
A car is eligible if it is less than 10 years old and has less then 120,000 odometer miles.
