HAPO Community Credit Union is looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Tri-Cities team! The External Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) is responsible for proactively soliciting new residential mortgage business and selling HAPO Mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals. They must seek out clients, which requires developing relationships with real estate companies and other sources that can refer prospective applicants. This individual will be responsible for originating new mortgage loans by providing exceptional customer service to our membership while communicating to all parties involved in the loan process.

Requirements:

  • Possesses sufficient job skills and knowledge to perform the job in a competent manner.
  • Is able to demonstrate skills and knowledge in day-to-day situations.
  • Ability to work independently and develop partnering relationships within the community.
  • Possess superior interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to prioritize.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and use initiative while effectively adapting to change.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain products, listen to customers, and effectively overcome customer objections.
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry; familiarity with mortgage rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to handle oneself in stressful situations.
  • Proficient use of standard office equipment. Must be capable of multi-tasking.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Two or more years of originating real estate loans; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the mortgage/real estate industries
  • Contacts and referrals in the real estate and mortgage industries required
  • Prior sales experience

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two to four year college degree with business administration/finance exposure preferred
  • Able to speak and write in Spanish fluently

Position is Exempt with Base Salary + Commission

HAPO Community Credit Union is now accepting applications for a Full-Time, experienced Maintenance Support position. The Maintenance support staff is responsible in providing general facilities maintenance for all HAPO buildings, infrastructure and equipment.  The maintenance team works collaboratively with all HAPO departments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees and members.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Helping to maintain the overall maintenance of facilities and grounds; including internal systems; property exteriors, lighting, signs, painting etc.
  • Maintenance for all HAPO buildings, infrastructure and equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC repair and preventative maintenance of individual or central plant equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, general plumbing, general carpentry, painting, lighting and changing furnace filters.
  • Other duties include correspondences between branches, supporting miscellaneous employee requests and maintaining HAPO equipment and vehicles.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Apply safe use and operation of all heavy powered equipment such as man lifts including the use of light hand and power tool operations.
  • Must be capable of handling snow removal equipment and apply practical application to ensure the safety of members and employees in inclement weather conditions.
  • Understand basic operation of utility systems (as applicable).

 

Skills:

  • Flexible and works well under pressure.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years light construction experience or equiv.
  • Basic MS Word and Excel skills
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs
  • Available to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Occasional Travel will be required
  • Related degree from Technical /Trade school preferred

HAPO Community Credit Union is now accepting applications for a Full-Time, Temporary Maintenance Support position. This position will be from 3-6 months with an average of 35-40 hours a week. The Maintenance support staff is responsible in providing general facilities maintenance for all HAPO buildings, infrastructure and equipment including, but not limited to, changing light bulbs, general plumbing, general carpentry, painting and changing furnace filters.  Other duties include delivery of mail and correspondences between branches, supporting miscellaneous employee requests and maintaining HAPO equipment and vehicles.  The maintenance team works collaboratively with all HAPO departments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees and members.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs
  • Available to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Occasional Travel will be required

We are now accepting resumes for a Member Connection Specialist! This individual will be responsible for general handling of account and loan inquiries, book values and loan status questions. The Member Connection Specialist will be expected to deliver superior customer service while handling a high volume of calls, electronic chat conversations, and daily tasks.

Skills and Expectations:

  • Excellent Multi tasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must be comfortable with 80% of day spent on phones, with minimal 'face to face' contact
  • Answering 'back to back' calls with consistent exceptional service
  • Comfortable Navigating through multiple systems
  • Capability of Deescalating adverse member situation
  • Receptive to frequent coaching on call recording
  • Must be able to handle multiple channels of communication at a high level, I.E. Calls, chats, emails, member inbox, Fax
  • Must be comfortable making informed decisions and exceptions to strengthen the member relationship while protecting the credit union

Requirements:
• Must be able to work between the hours of 8:30AM to 6:30PM
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
• Banking and/or Call Center experience is preferred.

This position resides within a small team working in a fast paced work environment where the ability to work independently or as a part of a team is required.  This position will perform tasks within set schedules, which are essential in supporting the Credit Union.

Required:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to answer technical support calls with friendly, clear communication and empathy.
  • Must take ownership of all issues until resolved.
  • The ability to multitask
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and basic PC knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of basic workstation setup and functionality.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Passion for technology and helping solve problems.
  • Willing to go the extra mile and not be afraid to ask for help or additional duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
