On June 30, 2023, PopMoney will no longer be available in online and mobile banking. At this time, due to the low adoption rate of the PopMoney service and the popularity of other Person to Person (P2P) solutions, HAPO will not be replacing its P2P service. When will PopMoney become unavailable?

June 30, 2023. Immediate payments created before 3:00 PT on June 30, 2023, will be processed.  No new transactions created after 3:00 p.m. PT, will be processed.

Will there be another P2P solution offered by HAPO?

Because of PopMoney’s low adoption rate and the popularity of other Person to Person solutions available, HAPO does not intend to offer another P2P solution at this time.

What happens if I have a future dated transfer set up or have recurring payments being sent, what will happen with them?

No recurring or future dated payments will be sent via PopMoney after June 30, 2023.  We recommend canceling recurring or future-dated payments scheduled for delivery after June 30, 2023.

If I currently use PopMoney to send money to myself at another financial institution, what are my options?

Sending money to an account you own at another financial institution can be accomplished by registering for HAPO’s external transfer option. This feature is available in both Online and Mobile Banking. In Online Banking the feature can be found under “Move Money” and selecting “To/From My Non-HAPO Account”. In Mobile, click the “More” button at the bottom of the screen and select “To/From My Non-HAPO Account. Note: You must be the owner on both accounts to use this feature.

Will I be able to see my PopMoney history and other related information such as contacts after June 30, 2023?

No. You will no longer be able to view or manage your PopMoney payment history or contacts. We recommend you collect any information you believe you may need by logging into online or mobile banking prior to June 30, 2023.
