Our Community Spotlight for February is the Washington African American Chamber Of Commerce The WAACOC, led by Chaune’ Fitzgerald, supports BIPOC businesses in Washington by offering technical assistance, certifications, and access to procurement opportunities. They aim to empower businesses to succeed and bridge resource gaps by facilitating access to capital and resources in both Eastern and Western Washington 💼 In honor of Black History Month, we contributed funds to the Washington African American Chamber of Commerce! Our Community Spotlight series this year begins with SARC, Tri-Cities’ very own Support, Advocacy & Resource Center. January was National #HumanTraffickingAwareness Month. Although the month has come to an end, the topic is one we should recognize year-round which is why all HAPO employees are trained to know the signs of human trafficking and report suspicious behavior. HAPO is proud to support SARC's mission of providing trauma-informed crisis services, support, and advocacy to those in need.
