You must enroll in the offer through your friend/family member’s personal link by October 21, 2025, meet HAPO's eligibility requirements, and complete the necessary steps:

• Must be a new member (having had no account with HAPO in the past 12 months) and agree to the Refer a Friend Program Terms & Conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Open a new Consumer Savings and Checking Account with HAPO.
• The new account must be opened online using the referral link, as the offer is not valid in branch, over the phone, or by mail.
• Complete registration form.
• Opt in to e-Statements via online banking within 30 days of opening your new account.
• Direct deposit(s) of $100 or more deposited into your new HAPO Checking account within 30 days of opening your new accounts.
• Only one referral can be used by a new member.

HAPO reserves the right to change, modify, or discontinue the Refer a Friend promotion without prior notice. 

Once you complete all the qualifying steps within the eligibility period, HAPO will deposit the $50 bonus into your eligible HAPO Checking account within 30 days. If you open more than one account, you will receive only one referral bonus, and your account must be open and in good standing at the time you receive the bonus.

Rest assured, HAPO will not inform your friend if you open an account. However, you must use your friend/family member’s personal link and open your account online to qualify for the referral bonus.

The new account must be opened online using the referral link, as the offer is not valid via branch, phone, or mail.

You may start by completing HAPO's Direct Deposit form on hapo.org. You can also set up a deposit in HAPO's online banking platform by logging in with your credentials and set up a transfer. Reminder, you must have $100 in direct deposit and meet all the deadlines.

While you can't refer someone during this campaign, if your account is still in good standing for the next Refer-a-Friend campaign, you may receive your own personal link to share with friends/family.

No promo code is needed at any point during the account opening process, just the link your friend provided.

Eligibility requires members to be 18-years of age and older, have active Savings and Checking Accounts with HAPO, accounts must be in good standing/loans payments are current, a valid email on file, and receive the Refer a Friend email. Refer a Friend campaign eligibility criteria can vary from campaign to campaign. Contact the Credit Union for eligibility details.

You're eligible to share your personal referral link and receive the referral bonus if you're 18 years or older, have active Savings and Checking accounts with HAPO, accounts in good standing, and a valid email on file. You can share your personal link with friends by texting, emailing, or any other way you communicate.

Your referral link expires October 21, 2025.

You can earn a $50 bonus for each referral who opens and funds an eligible account and meets the required steps, up to 10 referrals for a total of $500 per promotional period.

While you can refer as many friends and family as you want, you'll only receive a $50 bonus for up to 10 referrals that meet the requirements per campaign period.

HAPO will not notify you when your friends or family open an account, and you won't receive a bonus if your friend opens an account another way.

No. Your friend must use your personal link in order for you to receive a bonus.

Once your friends and family open a HAPO Savings and Checking Account and meet all qualifying steps within the campaign timeframe, the $50 bonus will be deposited into your HAPO Checking account within 30 days. You'll receive only one $50 bonus per friend or family member that meets the requirements, up to $500 per campaign period.

If your friend successfully enrolls and completes the qualifications, the $50 bonus will be deposited in your HAPO account within 30 days.

Please note that you won't receive a referral bonus for an existing member who opens a new account using your referral link.
