Carol Ortiz

Mortgage Loan Officer

Hermiston | Portland | Tri-Cities | Vancouver | Walla Walla

My widowed mother moved us to Pasco WA in the mid 1970’s from California. The youngest of 11 brothers and sisters, I watched her and my siblings work hard to build a life here. My mother learned to drive, bought a home and taught us how to work hard to make our dreams come true, no matter how big or small that dream was.

Having had that example, the bar was set high. I graduated from Pasco High in 1990 and went right into the workforce. I’ve been in banking for over 22 years and have held positions within the financial services industry from teller, courier, commercial loan assistant, financial services assistant, mortgage loan assistant, to spending the last 10 years as a mortgage loan officer for one of the largest corporate lenders in the US.

Although I am new to HAPO, and joined the team in June 2023, I am not new to mortgage. I am experienced in Conventional, FHA, VA, WA State Bond, down payment assistance, and equity loans.

I am also bilingual and have thoroughly enjoyed serving our Spanish speaking community over the years.

Purchasing a home is one of the most important transactions you will make during your lifetime, choose your lender wisely. I consider myself the liaison between the lender I work for and you, the borrower, and I will help you figure out the best mortgage products/solutions for your specific situation. My HAPO team and I will walk you through your application, mortgage options and follow the transaction through to closing as smoothly as possible!
